Proven is looking for a knowledgeable and innovative Tax Strategist to join our team as a consultant. In this role, you will work closely with clients to develop and implement tax strategies that align with their financial goals while ensuring compliance with tax laws. You will be expected to analyze clients' financial situations, identify potential savings opportunities, and develop customized solutions that optimize their tax positions. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough tax analyses for various clients and identify areas for potential tax savings and efficiency.
• Develop and implement strategic tax plans that meet clients' financial objectives and business needs.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to provide clients with accurate and timely advice.
• Advise clients on tax implications of various financial decisions and transactions.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure proper integration of tax strategies across client operations.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate tax strategies and recommendations to clients.
• Support clients during tax audits and represent them before tax authorities when necessary.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
• CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax consulting or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey complex tax concepts.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within teams.
• Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously and meet deadlines.
