Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide remote support for students in Virginia. As a TVI, you'll play an essential role in meeting the unique educational needs of students with visual impairments, helping them thrive in a virtual learning environment. Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized instruction and support to students with visual impairments in a virtual setting.
Collaborate with educators, families, and school staff to develop and implement effective educational plans.
Adapt teaching materials and classroom activities to meet the needs of visually impaired students.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and adjustments to ensure educational success.
Use virtual tools and platforms to deliver high-quality education and maintain communication with students, families, and staff.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
A valid teaching license in Virginia with an endorsement in Teaching the Visually Impaired.
At least two years of experience working in a school setting.
Comfortable working remotely with a strong grasp of virtual learning tools.
Position Details:
Work with students from PreK through 12th grade.
Compensation includes both direct and indirect hours.
This is a 1099 contract position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to manage your own schedule.
