Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Remote Teacher of the Visually Impaired to join our team in a part-time, flexible role. In this position, you will provide specialized instruction and direct support to a PreK student in Armstrong, MO. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the student's educational needs are met, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct, one-on-one services to a visually impaired PreK student.
Offer individualized instruction and adaptations to ensure the student can access and engage in learning activities.
Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including other educators and specialists, to develop and implement the best strategies for student success.
Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed to support growth and achievement.
Qualifications:
Valid Missouri Teaching Certification for Visually Impaired Students.
Previous experience working in an educational setting, particularly with visually impaired students, is preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
A collaborative mindset and a passion for supporting students with specialized needs.
Position Details:
Type: Part-time, 1099 independent contractor.
Schedule: 2-4 hours per week, with flexible hours to accommodate your availability.
Location: Remote, serving a student in Armstrong, MO.
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
