Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and qualified Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide remote educational services to K-12 students in Montana. This full-time role allows you to work from home while making a meaningful impact on the lives of students with visual impairments, ensuring they have the resources and accommodations they need to succeed academically.
Position Details:
Duration: Full School Year (2024-2025 SY)
Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging virtual instruction and support to K-12 students with visual impairments.
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to ensure appropriate accommodations are in place.
Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as necessary to promote success.
Teach adaptive skills that enhance student independence and confidence.
Participate in IEP meetings and provide valuable consultation regarding visual impairment needs.
Qualifications:
Active TVI certification in Montana.
Experience working with visually impaired students in an educational setting.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Proficiency in virtual platforms and effective remote teaching methods.
Ability to work independently while understanding and supporting each student's unique needs.
