Job Description

Our commercial electrical contracting client is immediately hiring a Telecommunications Project Manager to join their team in the greater Boston, MA area. This role is 100% onsite M-TH 6am-4pm & F 6am-2pm. No weekend work.

MUST HAVE:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5+ Years of experience with structured cabling, low-voltage systems, or fiber optics construction
• 7+ Years of Project Management Experience
• Experience with submittals, takeoffs and change orders
• Ability and desire to work independently and take lead
• Valid Driver's License
• Strong experience using any Construction Project Management Software
• Ability to manage up to 10 project at a time and about $5M worth at a time

NICE TO HAVE:

• Any related certification
• Estimating experience
• Contest, Procore or Bluebeam software experience
• Apart of the 103 union
• Bachelors degree
• Working for an electrical GC

DAY TO DAY:

The Telecommunications Project Manager will lead telecom projects from planning to delivery, overseeing scope, budgets, change orders, and timelines. Responsibilities include supervising cabling, fiber optics, and data network installations; coordinating with teams, clients, and subcontractors; maintaining schedules, budgets, and reports; and providing project updates. The role involves managing technicians, materials, and equipment, addressing challenges proactively, and fostering strong client and vendor relationships.
