Brief Summary of Work for this Position: The Watson College of Education is seeking temporary/part-time faculty for the Summer 2024, Fall 2024, and/or Spring 2025 academic terms, with the ability to teach in one or more of the following departments and disciplines:

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Undergraduate course teaching: Masters degree with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline from a regionally accredited institution. Those with equivalent verifiable professional experience, certifications, and licensures in the discipline may also be considered.

Graduate course teaching: Terminal degree in the teaching discipline from a regionally accredited institution.Those with equivalent verifiable professional experience, certifications, and licensures in the discipline may also be considered.

Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit: The Department of Educational Leadership in the Watson College of Education is a diverse and dynamic group of educators and scholars committed to improving leadership at all levels of education. Through our teaching, scholarship, and service, we facilitate understanding, research, and implementation of practices that promote social justice, global perspectives, creativity and innovation, and capacity building - practices we believe are essential to educational leadership.The Department of Educational Leadership is committed to the preparation, support, and collaboration with educators who seek or hold leadership positions in schools, school districts, boards, state and federal departments, agencies, or higher education. The Department of Educational Leadership offers four masters-level graduate programs (Curriculum Studies in Equity, Evaluation and Organizational Learning, Higher Education, and School Administration) and three concentrations within the Ed.D. in Educational Leadership (Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Administration, and Higher Education), as well an undergraduate minor in Leadership Studies, and four post-baccalaureate certificates (Coaching and Mentoring, College Teaching and Learning, Community College Leadership, and Evaluation).The Department of Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, Literacy and SpecialEducation is a community of professional educators dedicated to the preparation of teachers and other professionals who have the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to work with children from early childhood through middle grades, students with special needs and their families. It develops, implements, and coordinates programs leading to undergraduate degrees and/or licensure in birth through kindergarten education, elementary, middle grades, and special education (general and adapted tracks) as well as graduate degrees and/or licensure in elementary, middle grades and language and literacy.The Department of Instructional Technology, Foundations and Secondary Education prepares educators/professionals for leadership positions in instructional technology and secondary education. Our commitment is to the development of highly competent professionals to serve in educational leadership roles. Our secondary education program has strong alliances with the College of Arts and Sciences in the related secondary subject matters of mathematics, science, English, social sciences, foreign languages, physical education/health, and music. In addition, our MIT program has strong ties with Computer Science, Computer Science and Information Systems, and Communication Studies. Each allied department has a role in providing content-related courses and program guidance.

College/School Information: The Watson College of Education (WCE) () is a rapidly growing college with over 65 tenure-track faculty members working in undergraduate and masters programs in the Department of Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, Literacy and Special Education and the Department of Instructional Technology, Foundations and Secondary Education, and masters and doctoral programs in the Department of Educational Leadership. It offers several international study programs, a newly developed laboratory school, and maintains partnerships with numerous school districts, community colleges, and colleges/universities in the region.
