Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Remote Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our team and support students with visual impairments. In this role, you will provide virtual educational services to students in a school district in Virginia, helping them achieve their academic goals and thrive in their learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality instruction and support to students with visual impairments in a virtual setting.
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
Collaborate with other educators, parents, and school staff to ensure a cohesive approach to each student's education.
Utilize various assistive technologies and resources to enhance the learning experience.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and making adjustments as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
Valid Virginia teaching license with endorsement in Teaching the Visually Impaired.
Minimum of two years of experience working in educational settings.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
