Vice President of Manufacturing

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Vice President of Manufacturing to oversee all aspects of our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a background in steel manufacturing and design, with experience managing large-scale operations and a track record of success in improving efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize manufacturing processes and increase efficiency
  • Manage daily manufacturing operations, including production schedules, staffing, and resource allocation
  • Directly oversee all aspects of the manufacturing process, including design, layout, assembly, and quality assurance
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of manufacturing with inventory management, logistics, and customer service
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental regulations and standards
  • Lead and mentor a team of managers and supervisors to drive employee engagement, development, and retention
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in steel manufacturing, with a proven track record of success in managing large-scale operations
  • Expertise in PEMB (Pre Engineered Metal Building) and MBS (Metal Building Systems) design and manufacturing
  • Deep understanding of steel manufacturing processes and technologies, including welding, forming, cutting, and finishing
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve exceptional results
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex manufacturing issues
  • Experience with ERP systems and other manufacturing software tools
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
