Warehouse Supervisor

Area of responsibility 1: [Management].

Main activities

  • Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws. Develop quality programs and coordinate the creation and revision of all Distribution SOP's in relation to company, state, local, DEA, FDA and EU guidelines.
  • Assures all distribution operations are in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's), the Company's policies and procedures, and applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Develops department goals and objectives.
  • Oversees customer order fulfillment, ensuring consistent cycle times, order accuracy and customer carrier compliance.
  • Coordinates new product launches and End of Quarter activities.
  • Directs distribution center facility design, layout, through-put and storage capacity.
  • Responsible for implementing new technology and system enhancements. Defines requirements for system enhancements or efficiency opportunities, coordinates testing, training and ensuring CTM's are updated.
  • Coordinates project management activities across functional areas, as needed.
  • Assures a synchronized flow of scheduled products; analyzes operations and improves productivity and efficiency as needed; writes reports and recommendations as needed.
  • Participats in negotiations for all Transportation contracts as well as Import, Export, Compliance and Corporate Transportation Management Systems.
  • Ensures high level of inventory control and accuracy for all products.
  • Manages, prioritizes, coordinates and assigns the daily activities of multiple distribution sites.
  • Monitors and approves the interviewing, hiring, and training of departmental employees; conducts performance evaluations for direct reports.
  • Provides support, direction and coaching to employees in the areas of training, disciplinary action, problem resolution, planning, and work assignments.

Area of responsibility 2: [Receiving, Shipping, Inventory]

Main activities

  • Receipt, storage and timely movement of component parts, raw materials and finished products.
  • Ensures accuracy of raw materials and finished goods inventory.
  • Manage the process of physical inventory with Virbac and all outside locations.
  • Oversee activities of row counting and cycle counting with the warehouses.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC on release of raw material and finished products.
  • Rotation of inventory for properly stored material compiling with regulations, safety procedures and conserving space.

Acts as logistics facilitator to ensure all elements of distribution are coordinated compiling with customer requirements, DOT requirements and cost constraints.

Oversee coordination of daily pickups with freight lines within our 3 PL logistic network and other customer requirements.

Expected results: Ensure the ability to safely operate material handling equipment and movement of materials from storage configurations and the efficient and accurate pick products for internal and external customers.

Area of responsibility 3: [Budgetary].

  • Main activities
  • Manage P&L and assist in preparing the annual budget for the Receiving and Shipping Department.
  • Manage operations within budgetary constraints.
  • Analyze costs and implement cost reduction measures as necessary.
  • Suggest and/or approve changes to plant layout and design, addition of material handling and processing equipment.
  • Suggest and/or approve any and all other warehouse-related capital expenditures.

Expected results: Ensure Department operates within annual budget parameters.

Area of responsibility 4: [Sample Goods]

Main activities

  • Manage the process of the sales and marketing sample goods.
  • Collaborating with the Sales and Marketing team

Expected results: Ensure processing time and correct stock levels are available for the area.

Area of responsibility 5: [Continuous Improvement]

Main activities

Continuously identify and lead improvements in process, efforts to eliminate waste and increase effectiveness and efficiency of Virbac operations.

Expected results: Creates an atmosphere of continuous improvement in all facets of the warehouse operations and ensures efforts for such continuous improvements are ongoing.

Requirements (Diploma and experience)

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field from an accredited college or university, and minimum ten (10) years related experience, pharmaceutical industry experience required; generics pharmaceutical experience is preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted

5- 7 years of experience in the field of logistics and warehousing preferably in a regulated environment.

Skills

Previous managerial experience.

Dangerous Goods Experience . Ensure safe and legal handling of dangerous goods, including verifying all paperwork is accurate, complete, and timely, with proper distribution to all necessary parties.
