JOB DESCRIPTION:
- The Designer position will work on a new editorial focused website on Client.
- Will work with editorial leads, creative and marketing teams to concept and design stories for the site.
- Strong experience designing in WordPress as well as experience in an editorial space is required.
- Responsibilities include overseeing the design and consistency of the homepage and article pages, doing photo research, and creating visual executions using existing assets.
- Candidate should be excited about the brand, have a positive attitude, and excited to learn.
- Organization and ability to prioritize are critical and must show initiative and ability to work in a team environment under tight deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience designing for an editorial website
- WordPress design experience
- Ability to create graphic collages and design solutions using existing images
- Photo research skills utilizing a variety of stock sites
- Up to date on latest trends in fashion and social
- Strong communication skills
- Quick thinker and problem solver
- Team player
- Willingness and excitement to learn
- Dedicated to career, seeking a long-term commitment and the want to level up
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor degree required or equivalent experience
- 1-2 years in a Design role/experience preferred. This can include an internship
- Previous fashion editorial experience
- Complete fluency and proficiency in the use of a Mac and Adobe Suite programs.
- Complete fluency in WordPress
