Position: X-Ray Technician
Location: New York City
Salary: $42.14 to $46.42 per hour
Sign-On Bonus: $2,500 at hire, $5,000 at 6 months, and $2,500 at 1 year
Shift: Monday through Friday, alternating 7-hour shifts (8 AM to 6 PM)

We are seeking an X-Ray Technician to join a prominent medical center in New York City. This position involves operating x-ray equipment under general supervision to facilitate accurate patient diagnosis and assessment, adhering to established protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Input patient history and relevant medical documentation into the practice management system.
- Ensure patient safety throughout all procedures.
- Maintain a sterile environment and comply with infection control protocols.
- Complete necessary documentation for effective patient care and billing.
- Perform radiographs and bone density studies as per clinical requisitions.
- Explain procedures to patients, ensuring they understand and feel comfortable throughout the process.
- Position patients safely for optimal diagnostic imaging and adjust fluoroscopic equipment as required.
- Manage inventory of supplies and equipment, including ordering as authorized and ensuring delivery accuracy; assist with cost control as needed.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: A minimum of 2 years of experience as an X-Ray Technician; experience in other radiology modalities may also be considered.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
- Strong understanding of radiographic technology and safety protocols.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Active and unrestricted New York State License in Radiographic Technology (R).
- ARRT (R) Certification.
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
